Boston Guitar Lessons - Studio Policies

Fees. Lessons are not available on a week-by-week basis. Students are enrolled in a monthly billing plan. The current rate is $______ per month.

Monthly Tuition. Tuition is due 7 days prior to the first day of the month, and is debited automatically from a credit or debit account on the first of each month.

Lesson Slot. Tuition is for one recurring lesson slot per week.If you can’t come to your lesson on a particular week, please check the calendar for cancellations or openings; you may request a makeup lesson if time is available.

Makeup Lessons. If a lesson is cancelled or missed, a makeup may be requested, but is not guaranteed. The student is expected to check the calendar online and then send their teacher an email with suggested makeup times. If the student cannot attend the lesson physically, makeup lessons can be conducted through Skype. Makeup lessons are offered only at the teacher’s discretion.

Teacher cancellation. If your teacher cancels, we will attempt to provide a substitute. If we are unable to provide a substitute, you are entitled to partial monthly credit or a makeup. To exercise either option please inquire by email.

Un-enrolling. You may cancel your enrollment at any time; however, no refunds can be issued. Therefore, students should cancel their enrollment seven days before the 1^st of the calendar month, when the tuition payment is billed. Lessons that are scheduled and not attended are billable. Please let us know if you will stop taking lessons; if you do not provide 7 days notice, you will be billed for the upcoming month. This notice must be in writing and must be sent to greg@bostonguitarlessons.net.

5-week months. Tuition rate is for four lessons per month. Since some months have an “extra” day, the office will occasionally be closed. Check the calendar or ask your teacher for details.

Snow days. If a state of emergency is declared or if public transportation is closed due to weather, we may cancel lessons to ensure the safety of our students and teachers. Lessons cancelled due to weather are subject to the aforementioned makeup policy; makeup lessons are offered by the discretion of the instructor and are not guaranteed.

100% referral policy. We are completely committed to the happiness and success of our students. Our goal is total student satisfaction. If we succeed at that goal, we ask for you to share your story with 3-5 friends. Referrals help us to grow our school, develop our teaching methods, and invest in staff and equipment dedicated to making improvements. So please tell your friends about us! It’s good for us, and it also helps to keep us focused on your happiness.

Tuition increases. Each January, we will reassess tuition rates and make adjustments as necessary, increasing tuition by either the 12-month CPI change, or 5%, whichever is greater. You will not be notified or reminded of this routine pricing adjustment.

Parents of children under 18. The safety of your child is important to us. We choose our instructors using a rigorous selection process including a criminal background check. In order for us all to feel safe & comfortable, please accompany your child into the lesson room during the lesson.

Information Privacy Policy: Musicis a pursuit driven by performances and publicity. Photos, videos or recordings that we take of you may be used for educational and promotional purposes on the web. Your privacy is very important to us, and we will honor all requests to keep the aforementioned information private.
